Dinner and a Show: Cozy Couples Edition
When the days get shorter and it’s cold outside, my perfect evening involves cozying up on the couch with my husband, Jim, to watch a great show while eating something delicious. And while I love movies, these days, I find it just as enjoyable to binge-watch a TV series we’re both into.
There’s something about that frisson of excitement when an episode ends on a cliffhanger, and you look at each other and ask, “Just one more?!” that makes for a fun night in!
But how to find such a show?
It’s elusive! We need something immersive, addictive, and well-made that appeals to both Jim’s sensibility (action, mystery) and mine (luxe soap operas, Aussie humor). Our at-home date nights have been thwarted many times by the exhausting, aggravating experience of choosing what to watch from infinite streaming options before my 9 pm bedtime strikes…
And so, to solve the perennial “what should we watch together” problem, here’s a menu of six highly bingeable shows perfect for couples, plus meal suggestions for a satisfying and delicious at-home date night!
